The day started with a pleasant breakfast - buffet in the hotel. Later we had a walk on south michigan avenue. It was a nice day in fall. But Chicago got full reputation of its name «the windy city».
On our tour we visited also the «Shedd Aquarium». They show fish and other animals coming from rivers and seas of the whole world. It was big fun. I liked very much the exhibition with the sea-otters. Years ago after the disaster of the Exxon Valdez (the oil tanker that run aground in Alaska) this animals have been rescued from the spill oil and have been treated here. After a round of two hours we went out where we could admire the magnificent skyline of downtown chicago in front of a deep blue sky.
On our way back along the busy lake shore drive we wondered about the many people running and doing other sports. We thought that downtown Chicago is just a business district. But the tower blocks on lake shore drive told another story...
Some people know me, most don't know my father. Here is a picture (51 Kb) of Josef Müller.
After all this walking arount we did get a well-deserved, (very) cold beer in a bar. Then we went home to our hotel and the dinner. The next day we had to leave chicago.
